Admission Procedure

Admission Guidelines – Blue Haven School

1. Nursery Admissions:

  • Open to children aged between 3 years 6 months and 4 years 6 months as of 1st April of the academic year.
  • Age criteria for higher classes follow a corresponding scale.

2. Nursery Registration Process:

  • Registration forms will be available at the School office during the period notified on the school notice board.
  • Duly filled forms must be submitted to the office within the specified timeframe mentioned on the notice board.

3. Documents Required at the Time of Registration:

  • Date of Birth Certificate from one of the following:
    • Nagar Maha Palika
    • Maternity Hospital
    • Affidavit based on the original birth certificate
  • FOUR recent passport-size photographs of the child

The Procedure:

A) A written application on a plain paper accompanied by an attested copy of the final exam report card of the school last attended should be deposited in the school office by hand/post.

B) The Principal reserves the right to refuse admissions to anybody at any time without assigning any reason for this action.

C) No admission will be done unless a T.C. from a recognized school is their T.C. countersigned by the competent Education Authority of that place.

D) The important condition for an admission is that the parents/guardians comply strictly with the school rules and regulations and cooperate with the school for the welfare of the institution, give sufficient time and care for their wards.

E) The date of birth of a student once entered in the school record will not be changed. the parents/guardians will have to sign and undertaking to this effect.

3. Parents/Guardians must sign the report card when it is sent for and return it on the last day.

4. Promotion to the higher classes is based on the Annual Performance of the student.

4. Interaction with Principal:

  • Parents, along with the child, must meet the Principal on the date and time specified on the slip provided during form submission.

5. Admissions to Other Classes:

  • Normally, no admissions are available for other classes as students are promoted internally.
  • However, if vacancies arise due to withdrawals, admission opportunities will be open to interested applicants.

Fees

1. This is an unaided minority school, Hence, it becomes necessary to increase the fees from time to time to meet the increase in the salary of teachers and increase in the cost of maintenance.

2.Fees to be paid between 1st-10 th of every month.

3 Students will not be allowed to appear for all examinations unless all dues are paid.

4 No exemption or reduction in fees will be made on account of holidays or absence for any cause.

Co-Curricular Activities

1. The school attaches great importance to games, co-curricular activities, and competitions and all the students are exhorted to take part in them. Children selected for Dramatics, Elocution, Debates, Art and Craft competitions, S.U.P.W. projects, must willingly spare time for such activities.

2. Participation in the inter-house activities and attendance at school functions when called upon to do so, is obligatory. The Principal can take action against those students who abstain themselves from such activities.

3. Students should learn to play games in a pure team spirit and a spirit of sportsmanship, remembering at all times their behaviour on the field is as important as in the classroom.

4. Parents are requested to encourage their children to participate in the co-curricular activities for their integral formation. When they absent themselves without reason, they may be penalized and debarred from further participation in such activities.

Withdrawal

1. A month's notice for withdrawal must be given in writing, duly acknowledged, to the office, or a month's fee must be paid before the withdrawal of a candidate. Generally, it takes a week's time after submitting the withdrawal to issue the T.C.

2. Every application for T.C. should be made in writing on the prescribed form obtainable from the office by parent/guardians.

3. No T.C. will be granted unless all school dues have been cleared and 'NO DUES CERTIFICATE' is obtained from the fee counter, librarian, laboratory-in-charge, etc.

Attendance, Leave & Absence

1 A minimum attendance of 75% of the working days is required.

2 No leave of absence for the whole day or a part is granted except for serious reasons and only on the previous written application.

3 Applications for medical leave for more than 3 days should be obtained by a medical certificate by a doctor who is an MBBS. If this leave continues for more than 7 days, the Principal must be contacted.

4 All leave applications should bear the signature of the parent or in his/her absence, of the guardians.

5 All leave applications should be forwarded to the Principal before going on leave and not after joining the school. Leave has to be sanctioned by the Principal.

Examination and Promotion Rules

1. No leave other than medical leave is sanctioned during the examination period, provided a medical certificate from such a medical authority as will satisfy the Principal is submitted on the day the student is absent so that appropriate entries may be made in the school record.

2. Final results once decided will not be re-considered. All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the Principal. Parents must not approach for re-consideration of the result. In no case shall a student be promoted on trial.
